First of all, I must thank all of my brides for voting us Top Wedding Florist in Winston Salem, NC. I would not be where I am if it wasn't for all of you who trusted me from the beginning to create you wedding flowers. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you! Now to the story. I was born and raised in Brazil, a place I affectionately like to call “Land of the Sun,” I have been fascinated by flowers since my early childhood.
My mom always kept the garden as full of shapes and colors as she could. In return, her garden kept her full of life and joy. For her, taking care of the garden was somehow a gateway to some kind of secret world that I later came to know for myself. I used to spend time running around the flowers and every time I looked at one closely, paying as much attention as I could to the details of it, the feeling I got inside was indescribable and beyond all I could understand at that point.
Time went by, and I started creating little arrangements out of the flowers I could pick from my mom’s garden. There were no rules to be followed, just feelings that could not be translated into words, but into shapes, colors, and textures. When I turned 16, I started working as an assistant in a flower shop in Brazil. It was not long before I had the chance to create my very own designs. They were not perfect but it was interesting enough that the Shop’s manager suggested I should start taking classes in Floral Design. At the same time I started helping with the weddings, and it made me unbelievably happy to be surrounded by all those flowers. The excitement of a fast-paced environment made me feel like I was exactly where I was meant to be.
Years later, after many classes with wonderful and talented people such as the Brazilian designer Tannus Saab, I was now part of the design team in the flower shop. In this position I had the freedom to translate my client's aspirations into distinctive and unique designs.
In 2007 I moved to North Carolina and it has been my home ever since. Before I started my own business here, I had the opportunity to design for a local florist where I was able to learn more about the southern style and taste for flowers.
Today my priority is to bring a new option in floral design to those seeking uniqueness and distinction. While I love doing a simple spring bouquet, most of my designs are creative and inspired by the latest international trends. My mission is always to translate each client's aspirations and individuality through tasteful and elegant designs.
My passion for designing grows stronger with every new challenge. I could never thank God enough for giving me the opportunity to work with something I love so deeply. I hope to have the pleasure of working with you soon.
